Yeah, I've been slacking on updating this! Very sorry about that. With our Entourage release and other behind the scenes plans, we've been extremely busy and updating this changelog got pushed to the side a little. As always, Changelog is always posted on Discord first as soon as updates are deployed. This is just a place where I accumulate those changes in one place.
Highlighted Changes:
VATSIM Departure Handoffs: If you depart a VATSIM coverage area, and you tune to 122.8 -- within a minute or two SI ATC will reach out to you.. and you'll be underway. (Must have a simbrief flight plan on file). Will not be triggered on 122.8 if you are squawking VFR (7000 or 1200)
Details Here: How do I use SayIntentions.AI with VATSIM?
Appending Heavy and Super: We now fully support the use of Heavy and Super callsign appendage. This is automatic (no settings needed), and implemented per FAA and ICAO guidelines.
AI ATC Updates:
General Updates
Traffic-Awareness: More traffic-awareness features now turned on.
European VFR: Massive improvements made to FIS handoffs, which should simulate much more closely the experience of a changed squawk code at each handoff, including correct phraseology.
Vectors: Bug fixed where vectors were coming hard and fast on arrival, the last 2 days
Approach vectoring: Fix deployed to prevent those rare scenarios where ATC would start vectoring again, even after being cleared for an approach
Voice fix applied to an issue affecting some Tower Controllers in Brazil
Voice Selection: We found a fairly nasty bug that was causing us to only use about 25% of our available voices, which was also causing most center stations to use the same voice. This is now fixed. Expect much more variety now.
Taxi to Gate Instructions: Fixed an issue where requests for a specific gate were not being honored in certain situations
Departure clearance with SIDs: Fixed an unusual scenario where a departure with a SID might result in radar vectors instead of the SID.
Speed Limits: We have speed limit enforcement on SIDs and STARs now
IFR Arrivals: A few new fixes put in place to prevent the last-minute vectoring on an approach that's already lined up
Descent requests: Should be MUCH smarter about letting you begin your descent when you make the request, rather than just saying 'say requested altitude'.
IFR Arrival Vectoring: Major bug fixed which could have been causing odd vectors on arrivals
IFR runway sequencing and vectoring math now uses Navigraph runway database rather than our own. I expect an improvement here in certain situations.
Runway Transitions ("via's"): Bug fixed where pilots were being assigned a "Via" but weren't being told about it, resulting in "ATC forgot about me after I finished the arrival" situations.
Runway Transitions: Fixed a bug that might cause the wrong one to be assigned.
STAR Assignments: Unless your arrival runway has to be changed from what you filed, your STAR will no longer be changed from what you filed, except in rare cases where ATC NEEDS you on a different route, which should be unusual.. nothing like before
Bad angle to intercept IAF: This I think is now fixed!
Poorly managed descent profiles: Likely fixed!
Taxi to Parking Matching: Fixed an issue that would result in the AI being unable to correctly match up a gate assignment request or parking spot request, even though the airport had been correctly tuned.
SimBrief Flight Plans: Must be filed less than 2 hours ago or they will be ignored.
ATIS: Bug fixed where AWOS and ASOS stations were reporting bird-activity occasionally.
New Flight Button: Possible fix in place to remind pilots to press 'New Flight' if they try to open a new IFR flight plan after landing, while the previous one is still open.
AI CoPilot Updates
General Updates
Co-Pilot / VFR: Co-Pilot isn't really trained for VFR comms at this stage. Bug has been fixed where he would try to handle the comms anyway, usually resulting in strangeness. Co-Pilot will now refuse to handle VFR relates comms.
Co-Pilot: Two bugs fixed that might cause co-pilot to either fail to respond, or fail to change frequencies.
Co-Pilot: bug fixed where co-pilot refused to change to the right frequency for a request, while on the ground
Co-Pilot Voice: Fixed issue with it sounding "normal" when transmitting to ATC
AI Cabin Crew Updates
General Updates
Crew "Victoria": - made her a little bit more "british" - more or less a speculative thing.
Crew "Emma" (small jets): - made her a little bit more aware of her small... jet and also changed her announcements to fit a small business jet.
Cabin Crews: Fixed pushed it in prevent duplicate announcements from the cabin-crews. Let me know if this doesn't fix it.
Entourage Cabin-Crew Cruise: Fix pushed in that will likely fix the issue with the crew announcement for cruise-altitude not coming automatically. Basically, if you level off above 10,000ft -- you're going to hear the "we've reached our cruise" announcement. If this ends up working well, we'll stick with it.. otherwise I'll go a touch deeper.
Entourage Cabin Crew: Fixed the bug that was preventing them from automatically making the announcement for < 10,000ft and "we just arrived", automatically.
Cabin-Crew: That weird bug where a half-baked cabin cris was occurring at the moment of pushback has been fixed.
New Crews
Available from now to the 31st of October: Meet "The Death" (funny!)
Duncan MacLeod from Scotland. He brings some scottish flair and taste to the cabin. He has a native Scottish accent, so he sounds best when his language is set to english. (Premium only)
Say "Hi" to Tyron from Jamaica. He is an island native who enjoys travelling throughout the carribean (Premium only)
Say "Hellas" to Dimitrios from Greece. A young guy having lots of fun doing his job, and always very friendly. (Premium only)
Cabin Crew: Added Mary Smith from England. She is working for a low-cost airline and works like she is slightly underpaid. She also is the first cabin crew which is using a new technical approach for sounding "more human". She is marked as "funny", but its clearly not her intention to be funny :)(Premium only)
DeShawn Williams [Professional] is a young dude from Brooklyn, NY (native language english, works in all languages)
Astrid Hansen [Professional], young lady from Oslo, Norway (native language Norwegian, works in all languages)
Client Updates

What's New:
Frequency Box: Shows the closest airport if you're on the ground (same as before). But if you're in the air, it will show you the closest TOWERED airport. This should make it more useful overall.
Intercom Language: Fixed an issue where it was ignoring intercom input from any language other than english
Frequency Box: Frequencies are now sorted by position alphabetically.
Chatter Logs: We are now logging all chatter played, so that we can more quickly track down problems that make it into the chatter pool.
In anticipation of the launch of our new Entourage features, we've added "Premium Voices" checkbox, which is on and grayed out for SayIntentions.AI Subscribers, since subscribers already get unlimited premium voices.
Added ATC Master Switch On/Off Button: If you turn ATC off, any transmissions made on ATC frequencies will be completely ignored by SI. This allows you to be signed into multiple ATC networks at the same time with a single PTT button. (This is NOT recommended). This button will light up when transmitting. This button is also mapped to the SIAI_ATC_MASTER_OFF LVAR (1 means ATC is turned off, 0 means ATC is turned on.. I know, backwards, had to do this to establish defaults, since it's an LVAR).
Added Co-Pilot Master Switch On/Off Button: You can now give control of the comms to the co-pilot, or take them back, without using your voice if you want. (Using your voice still works just fine). This button is mapped to the SIAI_COPILOT LVAR. 1 = co-pilot has the comms. 0 = pilot has the comms.
Added Intercom Master Switch On/Off Button: You can now turn your intercom system in the aircraft on/off with this button. It will also light up when you are "broadcasting" on the intercom (e.g. talking to your crew, co-pilot, etc.).
