AI ATC Updates:
General Fixes
In the U.S., IFR takeoff clearances now include initial instructions (RNAV or heading). [This is not a thing outside the U.S.]
Fixed a major IFR arrival issue where flights without a SID were getting VERY strange arrivals.
Fixed bug where a requested runway was being acknowledge as approved by ATC, but then it wasn't assigned.
Adjustments to pronunciation model to try to get Nice pronounced as "Neese". This is a tricky one.
Changes made to increase intelligence about reading back a flight-level assignment and not confusing it for a request.
Significant changes made to try to improve general detection of readbacks vs requests.
Expect your descent in "zero minutes" is fixed.
Issue with STAR being assigned as SID during very short IFR arrivals is fixed.
Callsign Updates (BIG CHANGE)
SimBrief Callsign Import: Your callsign will now be automatically imported from SimBrief.
Tail Number Ignored: Callsigns that resemble tail numbers (e.g., "N12345") will be ignored.
Explicit Airline/Flight Number Required: Ensure you explicitly set your airline and flight number or manually fill in your callsign in SimBrief.
Format Requirement: Your callsign in SimBrief should follow the format XXX1234 (where XXX is the ICAO code of your airline). Example: UAL1234 will be spoken as "United one-two-three-four."
Cabin Crew Announcements: Cabin crews will now refer to you by your flight/callsign if it's imported from SimBrief.
IFR Flight Plan Activation: Your callsign will only update when you pick up your IFR flight plan, provided it meets the criteria mentioned.
Virtual Airlines Supported: For virtual airlines, enter your custom ICAO code and callsign in the pilot portal settings.
No Visual Indicator: Be aware that your callsign will not visually change. ATC will start using the new callsign once you call to pick up your IFR clearance.
Voice Updates:
Resolved an issue where a Swiss voice was mistakenly acting as a Center controller in the US. The voice has been reassigned to its proper region.
Adjusted talking speed for 47 voices. A reminder: you can now ask a controller to repeat a message more slowly if needed!
Removed all Customer Voices from our default table, and replaced with 38 curated high quality default ATC voices. This should improve experiences dramatically.
Annual Subscriber voice choices still remain in place, if voice was approved after further QA
